DAY 15: Today Was a Good Day (30-Day Personal Blog Challenge)

Posted by

Day 15 and I feel like a crazy person just talking to myself now 🤔 Hello…hello…hello…Anyone out there…out there…out there…

Today was a good day. The kids are feeling better. Public transport was great. It wasn’t pouring rain on us. We actually made it to Miss 4.5’s gymnastic class on time without me having to run the last 200m there. While Miss 4.5 was attending her class, I also decided to buy myself a good coffee from a really nice cafe near her school. Buying coffee outside is a treat for me these days. I can’t justify spending that $4 too often these days when I don’t mind coffee from home. I can’t give up bubble tea though 😅 Bubble tea is essential for my survival.

Miss 21mo was great with playing on her own this afternoon and even had a dance session with Miss 4.5 after dinner which was so cute to watch (they played the same song from Lah Lah’s Big Live Band like 10 times). Miss 4.5 actually ate a proper balanced dinner with no complaints. My mum also arrived from Malaysia today and could help me during the kids’ bathtime which is usually a bit of a screamfest (Miss 21mo isn’t a fan of baths).

So all in all, it’s one of those rare days where I’m not feeling totally exhausted by the end of the day, and am actually feeling a bit positive! Maybe there really is a light at the end of this parenting tunnel…Or maybe this really is too good to be true and I should expect that someone is going to wake 30 times tonight or be up before sunrise 😅

The 30-Day Personal Blog Challenge is a challenge to myself to consistently blog about my daily life for 30 days.
