Pregnancy Diary #1- WEEK 31: End-of-year madness

Baby shower

Been so busy that I missed blogging on the 7th month mark last Friday. Well, less than 2 months to go now! A happy event from Week 31 is that my cousin Ann threw me the loveliest baby shower.

It’s the end of the year and things have been very hectic. I admit I have been running around like a mad chicken as if I wasn’t pregnant. They say stress brings on premature labour and I can figure how that happens because I do get more contractions when I exert myself. Yesterday I ran around doing lots of errands and was feeling very tired and uncomfortable by night. It was a bit of a wake-up call to slow down even if it feels like I’m running out of time to do things. I really don’t want to make Miss A come before she’s ready!

Miss A is getting big and her movements are getting more and more uncomfortable for me. I’ve also started feeling her hiccups! It’s so strong that V can feel it on the outside too. He tells her, “Miss A, put your hands over your ears and swallow amniotic fluid real hard…” So funny! Sleep has been a little bit more difficult now with a bigger belly. My Bellybean and extra pillows have made a comeback and I have started sleeping propped up more because I do find it more comfortable to be on my back.

I’m looking forward to January because things will be slower then and I will have some time to breathe (and watch tennis!). December is always crazy with work and family over. It’ll be good to get some rest before February rolls in and the waiting game begins! I’m so excited to meet Miss A soon- it’s so surreal how near that moment is!
