“What? I’m going to have a little brother or sister? Nooooooooo…!!!!”
The end of my first trimester is finally in sight! The bad news is that morning sickness- or rather, night sickness for me- has yet to disappear. The good news is that with the baby now growing in size, my appetite has returned and I’m now able to eat almost as much as I used to before falling pregnant. I can actually feel the food going down and digesting properly now instead of sitting in my stomach refusing to budge.
I’m still throwing up most nights before bed, but the nausea is a lot more tolerable and best of all, the horrible acidic, metallic taste I used to get in my mouth all day is mostly gone. I’m having a loss less food aversions now (I can finally stand to look at Facebook news feeds now- seriously, people post too many food photos) and I’m feeling well enough to go out for dinners too. So overall, even though I’m not feeling as good as people told me I would after the 12th week (lies!), I really can’t complain. I’m just happy to be able to enjoy food again. Big thanks to my Mum for coming down and cooking all my favourite foods- that definitely helped! I love you, Mum 🙂
